Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Catch up on the day to day work I do, and the occassional thought. It's ok, I wouldn't subject you to all the gory details. For more of the handmade art and craft, jewellery and textiles I make and sell, see my online store.

Bags, Bags, Bags

I'm a quilter. I hate waste and try to recycle when I can. So when I had some yardage of calico that I had used to practice my machine quilting, I wanted to find a way to use it.

Eco Bags!

These are great bags, quilted to protect your goodies, whether it is your crafty stuff for your next Girl's weekend or the refridgerated items from the supermarket.

Sizes are Super large to small. In this photo the Super Large and the Medium size.

And here is the Large and the small bag. Love the small bag with the outside pocket.

I will have these with me at the Auckland Quiltmakers show this weekend (see previous post) or you can buy them from my website and I can send to you.

Don't forget: introduce yourself at the show and say you have seen me on the internet, and you will recieve a free gift with purchase.
Thanks for visiting my blog. See you here again soon, or on my facebook page.

Auckland Quiltmaker's Annual Show and quilt Sale.

I have neglected my Blog and my Bloggers for nearly a whole term. So now I am about to make up for it. Starting with an invitation to our quilt show:

The Auckland Quiltmakers' Quilt Show & Market
Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 May 2011
10am - 5pm

Parnell Community Centre, Jubilee Building, 545 Parnell Rd, Parnell, Auckland
Entry $5, children under 12 free

This year our guest exhibitor is Rosemary Rush, our own award-winning member. This is a great opportunity to see many pieces of Rosemary's exquisite work all together in one place.

As well we have our usual 'once-exhibited, second-time-around' sales table, and our loyal merchants, not to mention our own wonderful exhibition of quilts - something for everyone!

See you there!

Feel free to share this link with anyone who might be interested, or print and give to your friends.

So what have I been doing that has kept me away from my blog for such a long time? Well, over the past 3 weeks I have been concentrating on machine quilting 2 quilts, and finishing the hand quilting on a third quilt, all for the exhibition. Now they are all bound, labeled and have hanging sleeves on them ready for you to come and admire on the 7th May.

I have been doing more that just quilting. Watch out for my next Blog to see what else is afoot.

See you at the show, and if you introduce yourself as having seen me on the Internet (ie, my Blog, Facebook or Twitter), there will be a 'FREE GIFT with PURCHASE'.
